We have been working hard on the business for this upcoming season of comic conventions. One of our goals this year is to finally publish our second book, Firefly Issue #1: “First Target”. To do this, we of course need your help.
We are going to launch another crowdfunding campaign on both Kickstarter and IndieGoGo early this June, 2024. This time, we’ve sorted out the issues and paved the way for this to be our last crowdfunding campaign, as we expect that the income received from the sales of this second book would allow us to publish our third, and continue on a regular release schedule.

As a loyal website visitor, here’s what you get to know before anyone else about our crowdfunding campaign!
- We will be offering a never-before-seen digital copy of Night Wraith Issue #1: “Where We’ve Come From”; our first published book!
- We are also offering merchandise that you usually only get to purchase at our live events, but now, we’ll ship them to you! This includes water bottles, stickers, and bookmarks!
- We will also be running a number of contests on our social media where you can WIN some of our merchandising items FOR FREE, just by helping to spread the Nu World Comics name, crowdfunding campaigns, and mission!

IN OTHER NEWS…
Nu World Comics has been tirelessly working to improve our business, including officially turning our business into an LLC! This means that we will be able to open accounts specifically for our business, making our money management easier and therefore allowing our confidence in our future of publishing books!
We’ve also been gaining a number of contacts in the industry who should prove to be instrumental in our growth as we try to return the favor to these friendly creators!
Where have we been all this time?
For those who don’t know, we use “we” in a lot of our social media/email marketing because although Nu World Comics consists of two main creators, we expect to be a large team one day. However, our business (so far) is solely ran and financially backed by founder and author Ty Marcellus.
Ty Marcellus works as a teacher and is getting his master’s degree at the moment; not to mention his love for creating and recording music and being a husband/pet owner. All of these activities make life extremely busy for Ty, and we apologize if we can’t reach out as often as we’d like. However, Ty has finished his first year of master’s classes and the school year for his students is coming to a close in less than 2 weeks. This means that Ty’s schedule is about to get far less busy, and we can then focus more on our business.
Ty’s work as a teacher is also why we need to run crowdfunding campaigns, as this brand-new comic book universe/business doesn’t have enough fans at the moment to allow for it to be a sole source of income, and teaching doesn’t pay much at all. Therefore, as stated earlier, we need your help!
How Can I Help?
Assuming you, dear reader, are not rich, you can help us by simply spreading the Nu World Comics social media pages, crowdfunding campaigns, and general message of diversity and acceptance of others.
We are also always willing to take in volunteer artists, writers, marketing guru’s and graphic designers to help strengthen our business’ look and online presence.
Finally, especially if you do happen to be rich(!), we are looking for investors in our company and crowdfunding donors. Bear in mind that your help with our crowdfunding is not a donation, as we have a variety of options that we will reward you with for your contributions. Even when investing in us, we will strive to not only make your money back, but to increase it in anyway that we can.
