I was so happy to speak in Des Moines Iowa yesterday (Tuesday, Feb 22nd)! The people there were great and I loved the city as well! I really appreciated to opportunity to speak about my comics, opening attendees up to the inner workings of my universe, and to speak on why these books are so important with their focus on diversity and inclusion.
First, I had the opportunity to speak at the corporate offices of Krause Group and Kum and Go. The building was amazing to be in, and I met a lot of really great employees. I am so thankful to Krause Group for their hospitality, for the experience of speaking there, and the wonderful gift of the amazing shoes “The Ampersand 1’s”!
Secondly, I went over to Drake University to speak to their students about my work as well. The college was welcoming and the people there are great! I am thankful for the opportunity to speak to the aspiring young creators there as well as the interview I was able to give one of the student reporters there!
Both audiences were amazing to speak to, and I am honored to have had this opportunity. I thank you all for listening to me, and for your support in Nu World Comics.
Thank you Krause Group and Kum and Go, thank you to Drake University, a big thank you to Heather, Cindy, and Paige who set the whole thing up, and a thank you to the City of Des Moines for having me!
If you would like to invite me to speak at one of your engagements about my universe, and the diversity and inclusion it will one day bring to the mainstream comic industry, please fill out the contact form on the “Contact” section of this site. Thank you!
